Abeer Macintyre, BTA’s very own Managing Director was on the judging panel of the Charity Champions Awards that took place on Thursday, the 3rd of December at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow. This event was a great way of recognising the hard working charities that are leading the way forward.

The awards were handed out as follows:

ADULT’S HEALTH CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Runner-up: MND Scotland
Winner: St Andrew’s Hospice

CHILDREN’S HEALTH CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Runner-up: Bobath Scotland
Winner: Whizz Kidz

DISABILITY CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Winner: SBH Scotland

INTERNATIONAL CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Winner: Oxfam

DIVERSITY CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Winner: Glasgow City Mission

ANIMAL CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Winner: SSPCA

CHILDREN’S CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Runner-up: Action for Children
Winner: The Teapot Trust

COMMUNITY CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Runner-up: Autism Rocks Fife
Winner: A&M Scotland

EVENT OF THE YEAR
Runner-up: Pedal for Scotland, STV Appeal
Winner: Santa Dash, Price and Princess of Wales Hospice

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
Winner: Jenna Speirs, Calum’s Cabin

CHARITY & CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP OF THE YEAR
Runner-up: Age Scotland
Winner: A&M Scotland

FUNDRAISING TEAM OF THE YEAR
Runner-up: Epilepsy Scotland
Winner: Chidren 1st

CHARITY OF THE YEAR (Income under £250,000)
Runner-up: SiMBA
Winner: The Teapot Trust

CHARITY OF THE YEAR (Income over £250,000)
Runner-up: St Andrew’s Hospice
Winner: Action for Children

INSPIRATION AWARD
Winner: Sara Fitzsimmons, SiMBA
