Our team of ex-Chief Executives understand the unique challenges of leadership, and they provide valuable insights and advice from a place of experience, ensuring that boards have the guidance they need to make informed decisions.

In addition to recruitment, BTA Leaders offers consultancy support, leveraging our deep knowledge of the sector to assist organisations in their development. By recognising and addressing these challenges, BTA Leaders is committed to enhancing the effectiveness of nonprofit organisations, ensuring they have the leadership talent required to fulfil their missions and drive positive change within their communities.

Karen Moore

Interim Executive, Management Consultant, Business Leader, Experienced CEO.

Karen is an experienced C-Suite Executive, Non-Executive Director, Chair, and Founder. She has worked within Retail, Hospitality, and for over 30 years in the Not-for-Profit sector, and she currently contributes as Chair on a Theatre Board. Karen brings knowledge and expertise in both regulated and unregulated sectors.

Since 2018, she has specialised in Interim Executive contract work and has helped various organisations. Some contracts have been to look after the organisation as a safe pair of hands and to fill the gap while the senior leader is recruited or if they have been taking extended leave. It can also give the Board time to revisit or rethink the organisation’s strategy. Karen has also led organisations and Boards through more crisis situations where there is a need to turnaround the organisation, its culture, governance, finance, and operations—any or all of these may be required. In some cases, she has sadly led organisations through dissolution.

As an Interim Executive, Karen focuses on developing organisations and leaving them with long-term solutions to help during her tenure and long into the future.
